Decatur Public Library
The Iva Jane Peek Public Library in Decatur has completed renovations and is open for checkouts. The current operating hours are Monday through Thursday, from 1 to 6 p.m. The library posts updates about its events on its Facebook page.
Heritage Button Club Meetings
Do you have Grandma's old tin full of buttons? Come to the Heritage Button Club meetings with the National Button Society. Meetings are educational and enjoyable, seeking to preserve "all that is beautiful and historic in buttons." Meetings are held from 12 to 2 p.m. every third Friday at the Bentonville Public Library. Highfill Food Pantry
First Baptist Church in Highfill operates a "once a month" indoor food pantry in the fellowship hall on the church grounds. The food pantry is open on the third Tuesday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. Anyone benefiting from this ministry may register when the pantry is open.
Gentry Food Pantry
GFA Pantry, located at the Gentry Assembly, 821 East Main Street in Gentry, is open every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clients are asked to call or text 662-727-5157 for an appointment or email [email protected]. They will receive meat, dairy products, fresh produce, canned and boxed goods, and occasionally household and cleaning products. Clients may park in the parking lot and enter the building to get signed in and receive their goods. Each family is allowed to visit once a month. There are no restrictions based on a client's location.
Book Sales Events
Friends of the Gravette Public Library book sales will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at the Friends' book sale room, located at 407 Charlotte Street S.E. (in the old library building). Enter through the east door.
Bella Vista Area Radio Club
The Bella Vista Area Radio Club holds monthly meetings at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. All radio amateurs and others interested in acquiring an FCC license are invited. The meeting location address is 3424 S. Downum Road in Springdale. FCC License exams are administered at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at the Bella Vista Library and 10 a.m. at the Springdale Museum of Ozark History. Sulphur Springs Library
The Sulphur Springs Library recently changed its hours. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Storytime is held every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. It has over 7,000 items available for checkout, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, games, and puzzles. Membership is free for anyone with a Benton County address.
Kiwanis Meetings
Gravette Kiwanis Club meetings are held at 7 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month in the annex building next to the cafeteria at Ozarks Community Hospital and are open to the public. Members are asked to park in the back and enter through the back door. Breakfast will be provided.
Sulphur Springs Museum
The Sulphur Springs Museum is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Gravette Lions Club Meetings
Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center. Lunch is available. Visitors are welcome.
