New business opens on Gentry's Main Street

— Encore Resale Shoppe, a new Gentry business on Main Street, held its grand opening on Friday and Saturday.

The store - located at 333 E. Main Street (across the street from the Gentry branch of Arvest Bank) - features quality antiques, collectibles, tools, furniture, children’s items and a boutique. It also has a consignment area with a number of booths, featuring a wide variety of items from glassware to toys and even poultry farming equipment. One room of the business is devoted entirely to Christmas decor. Another is a quality furniture showroom.

The new business is owned and operated by Trish Linch, who bought the building and converted it into the resale store.

“It’s been a dream of mine to have one of these,” Linch said of her new resale business, adding that her parents and grandparents had owned and operated a similar business in Harrison.

Linch and her husband also operate a poultry farming business, so she helps her husband take care of the chickens early in the morning and then comes to town to open her own new business.

Though she has vendor booths and still has a couple more available, Linch said she doesn’t like to think of her business as a flea market. She buys and sells quality items and prefers “resale shop” as a descriptor of her business. And a step inside her shop will reveal her taste in clean quality items for resale.

“Lots of great stuff at affordable prices,” it states on her business card, and Linch is working to live up to her motto.

Encore Resale Shoppe is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The business is closed on Sunday.
