The State Board of Health announced that no cases of polio were reported in Arkansas during the week of June 4.

Gravette Fire Department cleared $140 at the recent burger fry.

New sidewalks were completed in the second block of East Main Street by business owners. The walks were about 18 inches wider. Curbing had also been added.

Sue Lukens and Dixie Valliant of Maysville were chosen winners in the Benton County 4-H baking contest held in Bentonville.

Double S & H Green Stamps on Saturday with purchases of tires, gas,kerosene and diesel at the Co-op Service Station.

Lizzie Meek wrote from Wet Prairie: “If it rains on Monday it will rain three days in that week. That’s the rule. Don’t forget, there are exceptions to all rules.”

New officers for the Christian Women’s Fellowship included Geneva Dreisoerner, Opal Leonard, Winifred Ketchersid, Evelyn Kelley, Nella Hammond and Sue Dugan.

Homemade Ice Cream Social Wednesday in the park by the Christian Church. Ice cream and cake: Adults, 50 cents, and children, 25 cents.
