BELLA VISTA — Bella Vista Fire Chief Steve Sims is seeking $3.03 million in federal funds from the American Recovery and Investment (stimulus) Act to build a new fire station. He has already submitted such a grant application.
A second grant for $570,000 would fund six additional firefighters/emergency medical technicians for two years with funds coming from Fire Act 2000. That act provides personnel to meet National Fire Protection Association standards.
