Drama Department To Present Shakespeare Play At Gravette High

— The Gravette High School drama department will present Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” this Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16, at the Performing Arts Center.

Showtimes are Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets, $5 for adults and $3 for students, are available at the door.

Ian Galloway, director of the production, explained, “The Duke is getting married, four young lovers are romantically entangled, a group of clueless workmenare trying to put on a play and the King and Queen of the Fairies are having a fight that is affecting the entire world. Also, there’s a love potion. High-jinks ensue.”

Galloway also arranged the music by Panic at the Disco.

The production stars Kaitlyn Albright, Kaitlynn Britton, David Carnahan, Shelby Goff, Zak Heald, Nick Hendren, Molly Leemasters, Christina Lovell, Paul Mattes, Danielle McKnight, Kyle McNamara, Max Moon, Rachael Morris, David O’Brien,Kristyn Saunders, Sayer Smith, Stephanie Teng, Shawn Thompson, Sandra Wassbro, Daniel Wietecha and Juliana Wolling, with Aaron Barlow, Ashley Brinkley, Koletun Hamilton, Shelton Hance, Ashlynn Haynes, Miranda Hosp, Amber Northcott, Cynthia Oxford, Lauren Parker, Madison Turner and Miranda Wesley.
