Dorene Wills of Neosho, MO, visited briefly with me on Tuesday morning. She will soon be moving to Jenks, OK.

The short but vicious storm that passed through our area about daylight Thursday morning left several trees down, blocking the roads, and other damages.

Others helping him celebrate were his children Alyssa, Zack and Gabe, his brother Brian and Diane Carrier, his sister Amy and Tom Brooks, aunt DaleLynn Carrier, cousin Lamarise and myself, Grandma Carrier.

Michael Purdam wasguest speaker at the Hiwasse Church of Christ Sunday morning. He was accompanied by his wife and children.

On Sunday the Northwest Community Church was enjoying a cookout until the rains came.

Ruby Hight was able to attend church on Sunday. It was good to see her out.

May 19, 1780, a dark day occurred in New England. At noon it was nearly as dark as night. Although people were convinced that this was a manifestation of divine wrath, the dimming was a result of smoke from forest fires to the west.
