— Eagle Watch Nature Area launched its own Facebook page on April 20. The new page will include information about the trail, plants and wildlife there and events, along with photographs taken in the area.

“I wanted to let you know that today we are launching a Facebook page for SWEPCO’s Eagle Watch Nature Area,” said Terry Stanfill, employee at Southwestern Electric Power Plant and manager of the EagleWatch Nature Area. “You'll find it at www.Facebook.com/SWEPCOEagleWatch. This is a good time to launch since we just had our Earth Day event at Eagle Watch last Saturday, and the official Earth Day is coming up Friday,” He said.

“We've been working on this Facebook page as a way to share the Eagle Watch success story - the eagles and other wildlife, the habitat and the great community partnerships. But this is more than a Web page (which we also added to SWEPCO.com).The most important part is that the public can sharecomments and photos as they keep up with Eagle Watch,” Stanfill said.

Stanfill will be working with SWEPCO friends to post information about what's going on at Eagle Watch, addphotos from time to time and maintain the page.

“Many of you have shared comments about your visits to Eagle Watch, often by e-mail or word of mouth,” Stanfill said. “Sometimesfolks leave us handwritten notes at the pavilion. Now you can post your comments and your photos on Facebook - and share the Eagle Watch story with your friends,” he said.
