Open house is today at Gravette High School

— Janna Sharp, Gravette High School Parental Involvement Coordinator, announced the high school will host its annual open house for students and families from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10.

The opening presentation will be held in the Performing Arts Center at 4:30. Jo Ellen Hastings, High School Principal, will introduce teachers and staff at that time, followed by a report to the public, new revisions to the student handbook and general policies and procedures.

One new item involves the student dress code which was approved by the Arkansas Legislature during its recent session.

“No sagging pants or exposed cleavage will be allowed, according to state law,” Sharp said. “Please keep this in mind when shopping for school clothes.”

Sharp will discuss Alert Now, the Pinnacle Gradebook, School Fusion, Informational Kit, Volunteer Program and Parent Survey.

“Since every parent wants to learn more about our new grading program and our other technology communication tools, please make plans to attend,” Sharp said.

Following the presentation in the PAC, students and parents may visit teachers in their rooms and pick up student schedules from their CAP advisor. For information, call 787-4193.
