Gravette teams compete in Alma

— After competing in the Alma Airedale tournament in that Crawford County city during the Christmas break, the Gravette Lions and Lady Lions were scheduled to go on the road Tuesday night to tangle with teams in Ozark.

They will return to the home court this Friday night to host the Lincoln Wolves and Lady Wolves. Games start at 5:30 p.m.

Next Tuesday, Jan. 11, Farmington will invade the Lion gym, and on Friday night, the annual Gravette homecoming games will pit the Lionsand Lady Lions against the Shiloh Christian Saints.

In the Alma tournament, both the Lions and Lady Lions dropped opening round games to the host Airedales and Lady Airedales.

Both teams bounced back in second round action with wins over Union Christian, and in final action the Lady Lions toppled Ozark to take a fifth place finish in the tourney. The Lions dropped their game with Ozark for a sixth place finish.

Both teams are geared to getting back on track as the conference season swings into a full schedule.
