Sympathy to the Croxdale family. They are former residents of Hiwasse.

Guess there wasn’t enough room in last week’s paper for the Hiwasse items. Maybe they will find their way in this week.

Sympathy to the Galyean family. Darlene was a longtime resident of Hiwasse and very active in the community.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Mason and children from Tallahassee, Fla., are visiting friends and relatives in the area.

The Presley family enjoyed abarbecue on Sunday at the home of Louis Presley.

Maxine Holloway is spending a few days with her daughter, Caroyln Taylor, and family in Garfield.

Mitch Rogers’ brother Marty is not doing so well at this time. Let’s remember the family in our prayers.

Those having Sunday lunch with me were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Amy Brooks, DaleLynn Carrier and Lamarise Carrier.

That was a nice and needed shower we received early Sunday morning. I received 9/10 of an inch at my house.

Tuesday, June 21, is the first day of summer and the longest day of the year. Enjoy it. After that the days will start getting shorter again.

Robert Martin is in the hospital in serious condition. He needs our prayers.

Sam Spear is in Kansas visiting his sisters.

Boo-Boo Fletcher and son were visiting in Hiwasse on Sunday and attended the Nazarene Church.

Richard Carver has spent a few days in Hot Springs at a school convention.

It was good to see Jane Miller was able to attend church on Sunday.

From Last Week

Sympathy is extended to the Jerry Thomas family for the loss of their loved one.

Several from the area attended the graveside services for BellePuryear at the Daniels Cemetery on Friday afternoon.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Sean Slinkard who were married Saturday in an outdoor wedding with family and friends present.

Ward and Paula Carrier held a family lunch on Sunday to help their daughter-in-law, Diane, celebrate her birthday. Others celebrating with her were her husband Brian, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Jason Ruopp and myself.

Ron Burns’ granddaughter, Jessica, from California, whom he hadn’t seen in 18 years, has spent a couple of weeks visiting Ron and Karen.

Rick Martin is in the hospital following a triple bypass surgery. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Penny Cullipher is home recovering from hip surgery. We wish her a speedy and complete recovery this time.

Ron and Karen Burns have spent some time vacationing in Oklahoma.

Billy and Lenona Salts and family are spending some time with her mother following their house fire in Rogers where they got out with only the clothes they were wearing.

Family helped Jake Austin celebrate his 11th birthday on Sunday.

Jake Carver’s baseball team won a trophy in the tournament Saturday evening. Grandma Novella Carlton and Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Gregg and Autumn were in the audience cheering him on.
