Nearly 100 flags to be flown in Gravette's Avenue of Flags

GRAVETTE — The Avenue of Flags in Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette will be flying throughout the Fourth of July holiday weekend, said J.R. Gibbs, Adjutant of the GravetteAmerican Legion Post.

The flags will be raised Saturday, July 2, at 8 a.m. and will fly continuously until 5 p.m. Monday, July 4, when they will be lowered.

Volunteers to assist in the raising and loweringof the nearly 100 flags are asked to meet at the cemetery at the above times on Saturday and Monday.

“All assistance to the Legion members will be appreciated,” Gibbs said.
