Gentry After-Prom Breakfast planned

— Each year many parents, relatives and businesses work together to provide a safe drug-free and alcohol-free event for Gentry students after the junior-senior prom.

A breakfast is provided at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall directly following the prom. Students of Gentry High School and their dates are invited to attend and about 200 usually come to the after-prom event.

In previous years, students received cash prizes, gifts from drawings and numerous other awards donated by local businesses, friends and family for attending the event.

The goal of the GHS After-Prom Breakfast Committee is to make this year’s event the best yet. The committee is asking local residents and businesses for help to make this possible. Cash donations, gifts certificates or gift donations are being accepted. This year’s prom and after-prom breakfast are scheduled for Saturday, April 2. With the prom less than a month away, time is of the essence.

Cash contributions can be made to: Gentry Class of 2011, c/o Lou Ann Curran, P.O. Box 443, Gentry, AR 72734. Donations may also be dropped off at Curran Feed Store, located on Main Street in Gentry.

For pick up of donations, call Cindy Godin at 366-3433.
