Two Gravette High School juniors have been selected to attend Boys State at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway later this month, according to an announcement by the Gravette American Legion Post number 25. Brandon Meek, son of Mike and Betsy Meek, and Eric J. Rambadt, son of John and Amy Rambadt, will attend week long activities on the university campus where they will participate in learning the duties of officials in local, county and state government. Their stay will include a visit to the State Capitol in Little Rock. Former Arkansas Governor and President Bill Clinton was a past delegate to Boys State which has provided lessons in the workings of government to hundreds of Arkansas boys. J. R. Gibbs, Post 25 Adjutant, said the Legion is thankful for the sponsorships of the Bank of Gravett and Arvest Bank of Gravette. GHS Counselor Shannon Mitchell has been instrumental in the success of the program at GHS for several years, Gibbs said.
