Tired Iron elect officers

— Tired Iron of the Ozarks Antique Tractor and Engine Club members met for their regularly scheduled meeting Oct. 18 to elect officers for the next 12 months.

Glenn T. Smith was reelected president, Rodney Friend was re-elected vicepresident, Johnny Burger was re-elected treasurer and Don Hevener was elected secretary of the club. These four officers, along with three directors, Dale Crawford, Jamie Smilie and Bryan Parsons, met Oct. 22 for the designated board of directors meeting to discuss plans for the coming year.

The Tired Iron Club was organized in 1992 with approximately 30 charter members. The club currently has a membership of 150, with numerous non-members attending the monthly meetings which are held on the third Tuesday of each month.

The club conducts an annual Spring (April 20, 21 and 22, 2012) and Fall (Sept. 7, 8 and 9, 2012)show to display and demonstrate farm machinery and articles from the past. Admission to the shows is free.

The monthly meetings and shows are held at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road, Gentry. The meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
