Community heart walk set for Feb. 25

— The 2012 Gravette Community Heart Walk to raise funds and save lives will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, and individuals and teams are being encouraged to make plans for the activity.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of men and women in Arkansas, and the walk is designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living inan environment that’s fun for the whole family.

More than a million walkers are expected to take part in this event to raise funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke, the number one and number four killers.

The walk will begin at the Gravette Middle School, and participants will meet at the middle school gym at 10 a.m. Feb. 25, said Morgan Black. She is encouraging everyone, not only in Gravette but the surrounding communities and area, to participate.
