It's March for Meals month in Gravette

Baked potato supper set for Friday

— Gravette Mayor Byron Warren yesterday, March 13, issued a proclamation designating March 2012 as March for Meals Month in Gravette.

The national observance is to promote senior nutrition programs such as the Meals on Wheels programprovided by the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center in Gravette for citizens in the Gravette area and northwest Benton County.

Mary Kay Kelley, center director, said Mayor Warren will be participating in the delivery of meals on Wednesday, March 21.

The center announces a baked potato supper willbe served at the center, Friday, March 16, starting at 5:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the baked potato and toppings, dessert and beverage meal will finance the meals project which during the short month of February delivered 1,777 meals. The cost is $6 and carry-outs are available.
