— The first day of spring arrived kind of wet and wild. I had to turn my furnace back on.

Robert Brooks of Ola, Ark., has spent some time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Don Wall and Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier before leaving for Texas to begin a tour of duty in the Air Force.

Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise spent an enjoyable day Friday hiking at Petit Jean State Park.

Dorene Wills from Jenks, Okla., has been visiting in the area this week. I met her and Earline Philpott for supper on Saturday evening.

Ron and Karen Burns have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this week.

Those helping Vickie Thomas celebrate her birthday on Sunday were Sally Albright and her mother, Bonnie Blevins, Mary Holloway and Karen Burns.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Gabe Carrier and myself.

It was good to see Pam Bertschy able to be at church on Sunday.

We still have so many sick in our community. Keep them all in your prayers.

Autumn Gregg spent one night of her spring break with Grandma Novella Carlton.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton’s grandchildren spent Thursday night with them. On Friday Grandma took Beau on an early outing for his birthday.

Robert and Geneva Hamilton visited in Oklahoma on Saturday with Robert’s sister and brother.
