Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Skylar Carrier. Skylar and Tasha Merrill were married Sunday afternoon in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Sympathy to the family of Ruby Hight for their loss. She will be greatly missed by her church family also.

Sympathy is extended to the Jarvis family. Kenny was killed in an accident Wednesday night.

Lamarise Carrier has spent the weekend here, visiting family and attending her brother’s wedding.

The Presley family enjoyed a family reunion on Saturday at the Hiwasse Christian Church. It was reported there was a large crowd and lots ofgood eats.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier and Gabe on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Lamarise, Jessica, Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Amy Brooks and myself.

Don Wall is recovering from back surgery. Don, we miss seeing you out there on the road for your morning walk.

Larry Keith, Rick Banks and Billy Habermehl are are reported to not be doing so good. Let’s keep them and all our sick in our prayers.

The benefit for Beth Austin on Saturday night was reported to have been a success. The people of this area have always been good about helping when we were in need.

Novella Carlton spent Saturday evening in Springdale watching her grandson, Jake, play two baseball games.

Robert Hamilton and some friends are on a hunting trip to Colorado.

Geneva Hamilton and her dad, Dean Fletcher, were in Grove, Okla., on Friday where they visited with Gerald Mason. On Thursday they visited with one of Dean’s truck driving buddies, Leon Cawood, in Springdale.

Gene Roberts reported seeing some light frost on Sunday morning.

Oct. 23, 1826, James Smithson wrote his will, bequeathing his fortune to the United States for the establishment of a museum in Washington, D.C. to be named the Smithsonian Institution.
