DECATUR -- The Decatur Chamber of Commerce event, "Come Fly With Me" 5K fun run, was canceled March 29 due to weather and conditions of the parking area at Crystal Lake.
With the recent heavy rains, the grass parking area on the south side of the airport was too wet to handle car traffic; and with the threat of more rain that day, it was decided to move the event to May 24.
There will be two runs held on Crystal Lake airport runway, the 5K run is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start time. The one-mile colors run will start at 11 p.m.
Sign-in will be Friday night, May 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery Cafe, and Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Crystal Lake Airport. Runners may also register by calling Faye at 841-2518.
