GENTRY -- Children, with their parents, waited in eager anticipation for the signal to pick up the many plastic eggs strewn across areas of Gentry Park on Saturday afternoon; and, when the signal was given, the annual Gentry Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt began and was over in a matter of minutes.

Children, some for their first time, quickly gathered up the eggs and put them in baskets until there were no eggs left.

They then waited in line to collect their prizes. And there were prizes for all, ranging from pencils to Little Debbie snacks and even bicycles and tricycles for the lucky few in each age group who happened to find and pick up a specially marked egg.

A special photo treat for many was the opportunity to meet and get a photo with a bunny measuring more than 6 feet in stature with ears included.

Bicycles were provided for the event by AEP-SWEPCO, Tucker Chiropractic and Arvest Bank. A pair of tricycles for the littlest participants were provided by Turning Point Fellowship in Gentry.

Students from Gentry High School helped give out the prizes at the special event.
