Gravette DECA students take honors at state conference

GRAVETTE -- Gravette High School DECA students (an association of marketing students) recently attended the spring State Leadership Conference. Students competed in team decision and individual case interview events. Ten students competed and eight students placed in the top six and received state medals and certificates.

The following students placed at the state marketing events: Hayley Arnold, fourth in Apparel and Accessories; Collin Boyer, second in Principles of Finance; Jerica Brown, sixth in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism; Josh Lockhart, second in Marketing Management; Trine Meisland and Sarah Peronne, sixth in Hospitality and Tourism Team Decision; Cole Turner, fifth in Sports and Entertainment Marketing; Emily Ward, fifth in Business Marketing Services. Delegate Kyle Sands competed in Principles of Marketing and Taylor West competed in Quick Service Restaurant.

Students will have an opportunity to compete at Nationals in May.
