DECATUR -- Decatur Public Library will have a book sale Aug. 25 through Aug. 29.
The library recently received a donation of 10 boxes of science fiction books. Some of the authors who wrote the book-sale items include Isaac Asimov, Ben Bova, Scott Carpenter and Robert Heinlein. The books are priced to sell and proceeds will go for various library projects.
Karen Jones announced the winners of the "Fizz, Boom, Read" summer reading project. The first place winners, who received a Barnes and Nobel gift card, include Martha Smith-Gomez, Emilio Smith-Gomez, Anya Thompson, Keller Almengor and Ricky Thor.
