Maysville News

We are having weather more like August now. Seems as though the rains have sorta come to an end. Maybe we will get some soon. There doesn't seem to be as much lawn mowing as there was.

Maysville E.H. Club received a blue ribbon on its educational booth at the Benton County Fair.

Jacob Ballman spent the night last weekend with his grandparents, Marvin and Bert Ballman. He really had a good time, he said, helping them with some things.

Patti King of Lowell spent Saturday night with her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, and returned home on Sunday morning. They always enjoy her doing that. I think she visited Ronnie and Debbie Sims also.

Some E.H. Club members helped at the county fair in the country store and helping with the booth. They included Jane Wilber, Bert Ballman and Melinda Crawley. I do not have the names of others.

Sylvia Tucker kept busy last week making peanut brittle to send to the country store at the fair. Proceeds from the country store go toward scholarships for 4-H members in the county.

Matt and Karla Ballman and Jacob visited Marvin and Bert Ballman on Sunday. Cord and Eddy were there also and ate dinner with them.
