GRAVETTE -- Area students, faculty and administrators attended the Economics Arkansas NWA luncheon held at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.

In attendance were representatives from a variety of businesses and organizations from all over the state and country. There were several schools represented, including 10 students from Gravette High School.

The annual event celebrates accomplishments in economics, business and entrepreneurship. This year's honoree was Mike Duke, retired president and CEO of Walmart Stores, Inc. He was recognized for his contributions in free enterprise and the increase in jobs and growth in Northwest Arkansas, our nation and the global economy. Duke spoke about his time and work at Walmart.

Governor Mike Huckabee delivered the keynote address and shared stories and facts about his career path and journey to his current role as the host of the highest-rated weekend show on TV and his syndicated radio program.

The Gravette School District expressed its appreciation to Built Well Construction for its sponsorship and support of this event.
