DECATUR -- The air was full of excitement as the doors opened at Northside Elementary School in Decatur Nov. 14 when students and adults entered to celebrate the school's annual fall festival.

Assorted games such as musical squares, bean bag toss, wheel of fortune and others were available for students to play for prizes. Other activities like hair and face painting, and stick-on tattoos, were also available.

One of the most popular attractions was the jail. Officers from the Benton County Sheriff's Office locked up any would-be villains that threatened to spoil the party. School principal Cary Stamps was locked up more than a dozen times during the two hour event.

An estimated crowd of 200-plus Decatur area families and friends enjoyed good food, music and merriment that made the fall festival event a huge success.
