Gravette school bands to present holiday concerts

GRAVETTE -- All the bands from Gravette schools will be featured in the annual holiday concert, scheduled Thursday night, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at the high school.

Everyone is invited to come enjoy seeing the band students display their musical talents, according to band director James Hendrix. Hendrix said the concert will include all the band students from 6th through 12th grades. There is no overall theme but each band's performance will include some holiday tunes to get everyone in the spirit of the season.

The beginning band will do a demonstration of what it has been learning in class, along with a few holiday songs. The middle school and high school bands will be performing holiday themed music, including traditional carols, as well as TV and movie classics.

At the end of the concert all band students will return for a combined performance of "Jingle Bells."
