Students visit school board meeting

Photo by Susan Holland Winners of the Christmas card contest at Gravette schools attended the December 15 school board meeting and were introduced. The art teachers ask their students from each school to design cards and then pick the top picture from each grade. The administration office picks the top four winners, one from each school, and those students have their cards printed up and sent out to represent the Gravette School District. Each winner also receives a packet of the cards for her own use. Pictured here with their cards are Christina Bramel (left), 11th grade, winner from Gravette High School; Brooklyn Carte, second grade, from Glenn Duffy Elementary; and Hailey Baldwin, fifth grade, Gravette Upper Elementary. Ashlyn Newton, seventh-grade winner, from Gravette Middle School, was not present.

Members of the Gravette High School choir attended the December school board meeting last Monday night and entertained before the meeting began. The choir, composed of students in ninth through 12th grades, sang several songs under the direction of their instructor, Breana Clark. They then led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the meeting.
