GRAVETTE -- The Gravette American Legion, Post 25, will host this year's Memorial Day program at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette on Monday, May 26.
The featured speaker will be Steve Womack, Third District congressman. He will be introduced by State Senator Jim Hendren. A flag flown over the nation's capitol will also be presented to a prominent citizen of the community.
Patriotic music will be provided by the Gravette High School band throughout the program. The Legion post will fly flags throughout the cemetery, with smaller flags at veterans' grave sites.
All veterans, their families and the community at large are invited to attend and participate in this program to honor those who have served or are still serving in the nation's armed forces.
Hillcrest Cemetery is located on Arkansas Highway 59, just north of the intersection with Arkansas Highway 72 in Gravette. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the Gravette Civic Center, located at Charlotte and Fourth, S.E.
