Gentry Lions celebrate 50th

Photo by Randy Moll Phyllss Fry, district governor for the Lions Club 7-I district, spoke at a special meeting of the Gentry Lions Club on Monday to commend the club for 50 years of service in Gentry and to urge the club to continue to serve the community and seek out new members. Members and guests joined in a turkey dinner at the meeting to commemorate the club’s 50th anniversary. Sadly, the clubs founding members were unable to be in attendance and be honored for their service as had been planned. Fry presented a banner to the club honoring it as a 50-year club.
