Maysville News

We have been having nice fall weather but the report is that a change is coming this week, cold temperatures and possibly some freezing rain and snow for the weekend.

Clay Threlkeld, the 14-year-old son of Mike and the late Connie Threlkeld, killed an eight-point buck Nov. 2. Clay is the grandson of Jan and the late Chet Janes. He is a freshman at Ramay Junior High in Fayetteville and plays football for the Ramay Indians.

I have a new great-granddaughter, the daughter of Seth and Melody Tucker and granddaughter of Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista. Her name is Mercie June Tucker. She is a week old and lives in Harrison. She has a brother, Judah, who will be 3 in February. We are sorta proud of her.

Patti King and Petru of Lowell visited Ronnie and Debbie Sims last weekend. They had a cookout on Saturday evening with some friends and family.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker attended the cookout at Ronnie and Debbie Sims' home on Saturday. They said it didn't take long for it to get too cold for them even though they had a bonfire going.

We had dinner after the morning services at the Maysville Bible Church Sunday. There was plenty of good food, as usual, and the fellowship is always good also.

This Saturday evening is the community supper at the Maysville Community Building that is hosted each year by the Maysville E.H. Club. The club furnishes the turkey and dressing, ham, potatoes, bread and drinks. Bring the dish of your choice and join us for an enjoyable evening. Everyone is welcome.
