Middle School holds 'Soctober' drive

Photo by Randy Moll Gentry sixth grade social studies teacher Bobby Hogan shakes hands with Chelsea Miller of 7 Hills Homeless Shelter in Fayetteville at the Gentry Middle School on Friday. The Middle School, led by the sixth grade class, held a sock drive and collected clothing for the homeless and gave it to the shelter on Friday so that it might be distributed as needed to homeless individuals and families across Northwest Arkansas. The donations will be used to help meet basic needs of residents receiving affordable housing and services in Gravette, Prairie Grove, Pea Ridge, West Fork, Lincoln and Huntsville. This was the first year Gentry students participated in such a drive but it is expected the event will become bigger and better in upcoming drives.
