Maysville News

We are having nice spring weather with some good rain which is always welcome. Lawn mowers are sure busy. I had my yard mowed Saturday and it sure did need it.

My nephew, Rick Vandiver of Bentonville, came to see me on Thursday last week. It had been a while since he was here. I sure enjoyed his visit.

The E.H. Club fundraiser was held Saturday evening at the community building. We thank everyone for their support. That is what helps us keep the building that we use.

We had the drawing for the gas grill that we raffled off. Sylvia Tucker was the winner. She was surprised. Said it was the first thing she had ever won. Marvin Wilber drew the ticket.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday when she returned home.

Jane Wilber and Gwen Singleton came to see me for a short visit on a couple of days last week. It was club business but I enjoyed them being here anyway.

Matt and Karla Ballman visited Marvin and Bert Ballman Sunday afternoon, then went home and finished putting their garden out.

Guess everyone is busy gardening and mowing lawns and doesn't have time to visit. If you have news, I really need some. Call me, 787-5712.
