Maysville News

The weather wasn't too hot last week. I suppose the Benton County Fair workers were glad.

The Maysville E.H. Club educational booth at the fair got a blue ribbon. Thanks to the ones who were in charge of it. Some members had exhibits entered in the fair.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Saturday for a while.

Gerald Tucker, of Gentry, visited me last Tuesday morning. I sure enjoyed his visit. He hadn't been up for a while.

Patti King and Petru of Lowell came over to visit Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Sunday and planned to spend the night.

My nephew, Clarence Vandiver, and wife Becky of Bentonville visited me last weekend. I sure enjoyed them coming over. They always do that on Gravette Day. Clarence's graduating class was having their class reunion. I'm thinking it was their 50th.

Sylvia Tucker was busy last week making peanut brittle for the country store at the fair. In fact, she spent four days making it. All the proceeds from the country store go into college funds so she did her part.

Pete Ballmann and family, of Michigan, visited Marvin and Bert Ballmann recently. Marvin, Luke and Pete made a trip to Iowa. Sue and the boys had to return back home for their jobs.
