DECATUR — The Bulldogs closed out the game with a 10-1 run to defeat Hackett in a 2A-4 West Conference game, 41-30, Tuesday night.
Meng Vang led Decatur (17-7, 10-1 2A-4 West) with 11 points. Mario Urquidi and Victor Urquidi had six points each.
Bracy Owens came off the bench for Decatur and hit two critical 3-pointers.
"We survived," said Decatur coach John Unger. "We were without two starters, and our depth saved us. Meng Vang stepped up for us big time and he had some big plays in the fourth quarter. A sophomore, Owens, made two phenomenal shots for us."
