Gravette Chamber banquet set Feb. 12

GRAVETTE -- The Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its second annual community banquet to be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at Horton Farms, 15772 Bethlehem Road, southeast of Gravette. The event is open to the public and will include a catered dinner, networking and entertainment.

Tickets are $30 per person and may be purchased at Ozarks Community Hospital, Arvest Bank, Gravette City Hall and Bank of Gravett. Tables for eight may also be reserved for $200. Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 6.

Serving of appetizers and activities, including wine tasting by Macadoodles, will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner, catered by Chef Steve and the Hard Luck Cafe, will follow at 6:45 p.m. Following the main course, dessert will be provided by Copeland's of New Orleans.

"I am excited to see how many people attend this year. We had over 100 community members partake in our first banquet, and I am anticipating even more this year," said Amanda Gittlein, chamber secretary.

Eric Meyer, the new GGCC president, will speak of upcoming events planned for the new year, as well as his long-range goals for the chamber. The 2015 GGCC officers will be introduced, along with the new members and two outstanding citizens of the year. Past GGCC president Kurt Maddox will also introduce himself and speak about his new role as the mayor of Gravette.

The GGCC welcomes new 2015 members and encourages both businesses and individuals to become active in the chamber's community development efforts. The chamber meets monthly for a complementary lunch in the basement of Ozarks Community Hospital. Those interested in gaining more information about the GGCC are welcome at the next meeting, scheduled for Feb. 18 at 11:30 a.m.
