Decatur boys seal conference championship

— Mario Urquidi scored 25 points and Victor Urquidi added 13 as the Bulldogs defeated Eureka Springs, 62-38, to claim the Class 2A-4 Conference championship on Tuesday night in Eureka Springs.

Mario Urquidi scored all 25 of his points in the first three quarters, including 11 in the third quarter. Decatur (19-7, 12-1) led 30-18 at halftime and 50-27 going to the final eight minutes.

In other games last night, Gentry boys' and girls' teams came home with victories over Lincoln

The Gentry boys defeated Lincoln, 58 to 51. Cole Cripps led in scoring with 17. Wally Dane had 12.

The girls beat Lincoln, 42 to 33. With the score 22-20 at the half, the Lady Pioneers played a strong final half to pull away and gain another victory. Haley Borgeteien-James led the Gentry girls in scoring, with 13. Rachel Lawrence and Mallory Morris each had nine. Bailey Bills had eight.
