DECATUR -- With the summer almost gone, it's time to start thinking about school.
Early enrollment for the 2015-16 school year at Decatur High School for grades 9-12 is July 28 through July 31 in the main entrance to the high school, near the office. The school will be open the following dates and times:
Tuesday, July 28 -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, July 29 -- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, July 30 -- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, July 31 -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Students are requested to bring a parent or guardian in during the enrollment period, if possible. Parents or guardians that also have students attending Decatur Middle School can enroll them at the same time.
High school students can pick up their schedules, receive locker assignments, fill out enrollment papers and tour the campus during enrollment week.
For grades 6-8 students at Decatur Middle School, early enrollment runs Aug. 4 through Aug. 6 in the main entrance of the middle school, near the office. Hours for the enrollment will be:
Tuesday, Aug. 4 -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 5 -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday Aug. 6 -- 8 a.m. t0 7 p.m.
The early enrollment period will allow students to have a set schedule before the school year starts which will allow any conflicts to be resolved without a loss of class time. It will also allow the school to have all emergency contact numbers in the system before the school year begins.
