SSRH to host blood drive Free T-shirts given to donors

SILOAM SPRINGS -- Siloam Springs Regional Hospital will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, in the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Bloodmobile at the SSRH parking lot, 603 N. Progress Ave. in Siloam Springs.

All participants in the July 22 blood drive will receive a free T-shirt to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of CBCO.

To be eligible to give blood, a donor must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo identification. CBCO offers the following tips to those who plan to make a donation:

• Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate;

• Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving; and

• Bring your photo ID which is required for all donors.
