Sunrise Service

Heritage Baptist Church is hosting the annual Sunrise Service, Sunday, April 5. The service will begin at 7 a.m. and conclude by 8:30 a.m. There will be a mixture of music from area churches and a message from God's Word to close the service. 90th Birthday Shower

Easter Eggstravaganza

Decatur Assembly of God Church will host its annual "Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza" on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m. There will be five hunting areas for children, ages 0-12, including a designated hunting area for children with special needs. There will be thousands of candy-filled eggs to hunt. Hundreds of prizes, including grand prizes, will be given away in each age division. The event will take place on the grounds of DAG Church, located at 733 N. Main St. in Decatur.

Gentry Easter Egg Hunt

The Gentry Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Easter egg hunt in the city park at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The event will include prizes for all and bicycles, provided by local businesses, for a winner in each age category.

Tired Iron Spring Crankup

Tired Iron of the Ozarks will host its 23rd annual Spring Crankup at its show grounds on Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Events include operating saw mills, a blacksmith shop with working blacksmiths, a parade of power at noon, antique engines and tractors, antique home furnishings, and much, much more. The featured tractor and engine at this spring's show will be International. Admission and parking are free. The club showgrounds are located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. NAGS to Meet

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 23, at the Bentonville Public Library. Lisa Ferguson Cady of the Clan Ferguson Society of North America will present a program about Scottish clans and researching them. For more information, call 479-271-6820. The public is welcome.

Highfill Food Pantry

The Highfill United Methodist food pantry will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. For more information, call the church at 479-736-1275.

Go7 Food Program

The Go7 food program will distribute free food and paper goods at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Gravette Civic Center (Boys and Girls Club building) on Charlotte St., S.E. This program is open to the public and requires no proof of income. Bags may be brought. The food program will continue on the last Saturday of each month at the same time and location.

GED Classes Offered

GED classes are under way at the Gravette Public Library, 407 Charlotte St., S.E. Spring classes have begun and will continue on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. through May 6.

Computer Skills Classes

Classes in basic computer skills will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, March 18 and 25 at the Gravette Public Library. Cost of the classes are $5 per person. Classes are small so everyone can ask questions and get help. A Microsoft Word class is set for March 18, and a class in resume writing is March 25. Farmers' Market

The Gravette Farmers' Market will open for its eighth season on Saturday, April 18, and run through November. The market will operate on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Town Park, 110 Park Drive, in Gravette. It will feature locally-grown produce, flowers, meats and more. Gravette Lions Club

Gravette Lions Club meets at 1 p.m. on the first and the third Tuesday of every month at the Billy V. Hall Wellness and Activity Center on Limekiln Road in Gravette. New members are welcome.

Gravette Kiwanis

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria in Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Gentry Lions Club

Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the McKee Community Room, in the Gentry Public Library, on Main Street at N. Collins Ave. New members and visitors are welcome.

Gravette Legion

Gravette American Legion Post 25 meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Singing Services

Monthly singing services at Mason Valley Baptist Church Activity Center are held at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month. The church is located on Arkansas Hwy. 12, between Highfill and Vaughn. Everyone is invited.

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m., the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.

Decatur VFW Meetings

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. New members and guests are welcome. The facility is three miles east of Decatur on Arkansas Highway 102 and right on Tilly's Hill Road.
