GENTRY -- Nancy Gannon, 45, of Gentry, was treated and released following a Monday morning accident on the south side of Gentry.

According to police, Gannon was northbound on Gentry Blvd. in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck when her vehicle hit and partially went over the curb on the east side of the road and then crossed Gentry Blvd. and went down into a ravine on the west side of the road.

Police say Gannon's truck went airborne twice as it went down the embankment and then circled around and partially rolled into a culvert which runs under the road. Gannon was assisted in exiting her truck by an unknown Good Samaritan who happened to be passing by, Police say.

Gentry Fire Department and EMTs assisted the police at the scene. Gannon was transported by a Siloam Springs ambulance unit to Siloam Springs Regional Hospital where she was treated and released, police say.

A witness stated she did not believe Gannon was speeding, according to police. Gentry police were still investigating the accident but did not anticipate any citations would be issued.
