Man arrested for assault

GENTRY -- Police in Gentry arrested a man on May 2 in connection with public intoxication, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

According to police reports, Robert Elliott, 54, of Siloam Springs, was arrested Saturday afternoon outside a Parks Circle address after he allegedly held a bottle over a woman's head and threatened to beat her with it.

When police arrived, they found Elliott laying down in the front yard. When they approached, he allegedly got up, yelled obscenities at them continued to resist police attempts to control him and place him in the patrol car. He was transported to the Benton County Jail.
