Emmanuel Fuentes, left, and Troy Glover enjoyed jousting with the long foam tubes provided at Buddy Day. Troy, seemingly at a disadvantage because of his shorter tube, apparently thought he'd intimidate his opponent by making a scary face.

A couple of young fellows paused during the morning's activities to visit the snack shack and get a cool drink. Chips, fruit snacks and Little Debbie treats were available for the youngsters who worked up an appetite during Buddy Day and hot dogs were being prepared on the grill in the background.

While the kindergarten students were out on the playground for Friday morning's Buddy Day activities the first graders were watching a movie in the gym. The students rotated in the afternoon and the first graders got their turn at competing in games on the playground.
