GRAVETTE -- Many coaches have the chance to coach family siblings and some even get the opportunity to coach brothers on the same team. Coach Bill Harrelson of Gravette is one of them, and he even gets to coach four sets of brothers on the Gravette High School football team.

The story began eight years ago when the older boys started pee wee football in Gravette. At that time, Gravette's youth football program was a part of the Arkansas and Oklahoma Pee Wee Football League. The teams had second to sixth grade players and fifth and sixth grade players. They had two teams at each level, Little Black and Big Black, Little Orange and Big Orange. Once a player was drafted to one of these teams, he remained on the team until he finished sixth grade.

Rex Lemonds, Layne Martinez, Bryce Moorman and Jackson Soule' were all drafted to the Little Black team as second graders and then, two years later, all of them had little brothers on the team. The team did very well in the league, making the playoffs but losing in the semifinal game.

Now, eight years later, the boys have been reunited on the same team again. Little brothers Donnie Lemonds, Mason Martinez, Brady Moorman and Bailey Soule' have followed in their big brothers' footsteps and are out this year to help the Lion team succeed. Hopefully, the older brothers can repeat what they accomplished many years ago, but on a larger stage.
