GRAVETTE -- Homecoming is this week in Gravette and includes a full day of activities on Friday.

The parade, which passes through downtown Gravette and up Main Street, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday rather than in the afternoon. Those who wish to come out and watch the annual parade will want to note this earlier time. Parade lineup will be at 9:45 a.m. for those participating.

Following a homecoming luncheon at the school for the homecoming court, football team, cheerleaders, band and student council, a practice is scheduled on the football field at 1:15 for the homecoming court. That will be followed by a pep rally at 2:10 p.m., pictures in Old Town Park at 4:30 p.m. and the coronation ceremony back on the football field at 6:15 p.m. or shortly thereafter.

In the running for the title of homecoming queen this year are three seniors: Savannah Hittson, Kinsley Hurtt and Kaitlyn Sands. One will be crowned on the football field Friday evening.

Gravette's homecoming game against Berryville will begin at 7 p.m.
