Gentry students receive choir honors

GENTRY -- With more than a thousand choir students competing at the all-region choir auditions on Oct. 10, eight Gentry students received honors and three qualified to audition for the all-state choir.

Alex Savage (7), Mallory Morris (10), Gabriella Taylor (16), Jennifer Adams (20), Audra Weathers (22), Kaleigh Green (34), Emiley Dilbeck (43) and Andrew Reynoso (6th alternate) were among those qualifying at the auditions held at Har-Ber High School in Springdale. Chairs 1-20 are in the senior high mixed ensemble, chairs 21-45 are in the women's ensemble and chairs 1-18 are eligible to audition for the all-state choir later in the school year.

"With over a thousand students auditioning, this is a huge honor to have made the choir," said Casey Jones, choir director for Gentry High School and Middle School. He called it "a continuation of choral excellence for the Gentry choir program."
