Haisman Fundraiser

Decatur High School will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday in the DHS cafeteria, with all proceeds going to the Ray Haisman family. Tickets are on sale for $5 and can be purchased at the high school or at the door. Raffle tickets for a beautiful quilt will also be on sale. Pioneer Booster Club

Fundraiser

Gentry Pioneer Booster Club will hold a chili cook off and corn-hole tournament as a fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Gentry High School parking lot. Children and adults are invited to participate. Entries for the chili cook off can be groups of four, and the entry cost is $10 per group or sports team. Entries are invited from all of Gentry's sport teams. Members of the winning group or team will each receive an embroidered apron. The entries for the corn-hole tournament are two people to a team and there will be a $10 entry fee for each team. For more information, call Natasha Jennen 479-233-1442.

Youth Pancake Breakfast

The youth at First Baptist Church of Gravette are having a "Youth Pancake Breakfast" fundraiser from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, in the fellowship hall. The breakfast is by donation only. All are invited to attend.

Book Fair at GUE

The annual Scholastic Book Fair at Gravette Upper Elementary School will be held during parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, from 2 to 8 p.m., and then all next week, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day but closing at noon on Friday.

Grilled Chicken Dinners

The Gentry Senior Activity and Wellness Center is offering grilled chicken dinners on Friday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets for the event come with a $6 donation to the Gentry Senior Meal Program. For more information, call 479-736-0378.

GDE Fall Festival

Glenn Duffy Elementary School will hold its annual fall festival from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30. There will be a silent auction, games, costumes contest and chili dinner. No scary costumes please. The community is invited to attend. The chili dinner will be served in the elementary cafeteria before the Gravette Lion senior night football game. All Lion fans are encouraged to show their school spirit at this event. Local businesses have donated to make this event a fun evening for all. The PTO is hosting, with proceeds going to benefit Glenn Duffy students.

Trick or Treat on Main

Gentry's Trick or Treat on Main Street event, sponsored by the Gentry Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, on Gentry's Main Street.

Charter School Meeting

Gentry Public Schools will hold a Conversion Charter informational meeting on Nov. 3 to discuss the conversion charter application and proposed educational programming. The meeting will be held in the Pioneer Activity Complex (PAC building) hospitality room, beginning at 6 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Thanksgiving Lunch

Gravette Middle School will host a Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Students are encouraged to invite their parents and grandparents. To attend, guests will need to RSVP the GMS office by Nov. 13 so the cafeteria can prepare enough meals for the special event. Lunch times are 11:20 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.

Mother-Son Dance

The first annual Mother-Son Dance (for sons in fifth grade and younger) is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the community building in downtown Siloam Springs. The evening of fun is $15 for one mother and up to two sons; additional sons are $5 each. For more information, visit the Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation office at 120 South Mt. Olive Street before 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, to register for the dance.

NAGS Meeting

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 South Main, Bentonville. Susan Young from Shiloh Museum will present the program: "How Forrestina Campbell Became White River Red." Campbell was a well-known carnival operator in northwest Arkansas in the 1950s and 1960s. Maysville Food Pantry

CARE Satellite Pantry, in partnership with the Maysville Bible Church, is operating a food pantry at the church on the first Saturday of each month. Food is available for those in Benton County, Delaware County, Okla., and McDonald County, Mo. The next free food giveaway will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 7, at the church on Highway 72 east of the four way stop. Applicants must present ID, Social Security number, address and number of people in the home. Food boxes contain canned vegetables, pasta, cereal, rice, spices, health and beauty aids. Highfill Food Pantry

The Highfill United Methodist food pantry will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. For more information, call the church at 479-736-1275.

Farmers' Market

The Gravette Farmers' Market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Town Park, 110 Park Drive, in Gravette. It features locally-grown produce, flowers, meats and more.

Gentry Farmers' Market

Gentry's farmers' market is held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Main Street Pavilion located next door to the Chicken Coop flea market, at 500 E. Main Street, Gentry. For more information on the market, call 479-871-1052. Farmers may register for space and sell there on those days without charge.

Lions Club

Gravette Lions Club meets at noon on the first and the third Tuesday of every month at the In-Zone Restaurant on Arkansas Hwy. 59 N. in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Gravette Kiwanis

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria in Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Gravette Legion

Gravette American Legion Post 25 meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Singing Services

Monthly singing services at Mason Valley Baptist Church Activity Center are held at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month. The church is located on Arkansas Hwy. 12, between Highfill and Vaughn. Everyone is invited.

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m., the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.

Decatur VFW Meetings

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. New members and guests are welcome.
