GENTRY -- Frances Ennis Golden is set to turn 97 on Sunday, Sept. 27. She has lived most of her life in Gentry and will be honored by family members on her special day.

Born in Edmond, Okla., Golden has spent most of her 97 years in Gentry. She has lived at her current address in Gentry for the past 20 years.

She worked as a medical assistant at the Gravette Manor for many years and retired in 1981.

She currently has seven children; four stepchildren; 19 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great grandchildren. She said there are even more if she includes the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren of her stepchildren.

Her family plans to help her celebrate her special day -- possibly a day early if they celebrate her birthday together with that of another family member on the 26th.

Anyone wishing to mail her a card may do so by sending it to her at P.O. Box 798, Gentry, AR 72734.
