GRAVETTE -- Holly Wallace, owner of Granny's Simple Blessings at 408 Main Street N.W. in the west edge of Gravette, has announced she will host a craft fair at her shop this Saturday. The fair will feature 10 or more vendors selling items on the grounds, as well as a pumpkin patch and other special events.

Several vendors who have been displaying their crafts at Wallace's first Saturday events the last few months will return, she said. Items to be sold include paintings on saws, saw blades and other items; handcrafted jewelry; wind chimes made from kitchen items; crocheted baby items and winter hats, scarves, mittens and headbands; alpaca yarn and fleece and items made from alpaca yarn; wooden welcome signs and antique furniture. Caramel apples and a wide variety of baked goods will also be offered, including rolls, banana and other breads, cookies and pumpkin brownies.

Art instructor and artist Diana Shannon, Wallace's mother, will be painting a picture on the front porch, beginning at 12 noon. The painting, which will feature an old barn scene, will be raffled off at about 3 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. a representative for doTERRA products, will offer a make-and-take workshop where persons can create their own custom scented essential oils using a wide variety of scents. The oils may then be taken home for aromatherapy or therapeutic use.

A pumpkin patch will be available in which persons can browse through and choose their own pumpkins to take home for use in fall decorating or holiday baking.

Wallace said she and most of her vendors are offering a Christmas layaway program where shoppers may pay 15 percent down and have their purchases held for pick up later. Items on layaway should be picked up by Dec. 15, she said.

Persons interested in renting a booth space, setting up tables and selling their own wares may contact Wallace by calling 479-212-3519. She said craft fairs will also be held on the first Saturday in November and the first Saturday in December.
