GRAVETTE -- Basketball homecoming is slated for Friday in Lion Field House at Gravette and three seniors will be vying for the queen's crown at the annual event. The ceremony is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., with lineup at 6:15. The Gravette Lions are scheduled to play the Elkins Elks following the coronation ceremonies.
Other Friday events include a noon luncheon for the homecoming court, basketball teams, cheerleaders, band and student council. A mini parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the high school, with a 2:10 pep rally in the gym. The homecoming court will also pose for photos at 4:30 p.m. in the competition gym.
Included in the homecoming court this year are: kindergarten mascots Hillary Harris, Ella Lovell and Liam Pittman; freshman maids Tiffany Wheeler and Madison Spencer; sophomore maids Maggie McKenzie and Emma Russell; junior maids Berenice Garcia and Kyrstin Branscum; senior maids Heaven Butler and Emma Russ; senior queen candidates Robin Davis, Stephanie Pinter and Elizabeth McKenzie; and escorts Federico Goi, Andrew Miller, Camron Johnson, Alex Fink, TJ Kardynalski, Bailee Soule', Seth Duke, Kelton Trembley, Dayten Wishon, Aaron Kardynalski, Tyler Kardynalski, Kaleb Burnett, Chris Childress and Tajae White.
