Two killed in crash east of Decatur

— A Rogers woman and an unidentified minor were killed in a head-on crash east of Decatur on Arkansas Highway 102 near North Pleasant Valley Road at 7:29 a.m. on Monday, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary released by the Arkansas State Police on Monday afternoon.

According to the release, Shawna Brady, 38, of Rogers, and an unnamed minor in her vehicle were killed in the crash. Robert Downs, 50, of Grove (listed as Arkansas but possibly in Oklahoma), and two other minors, also passengers in Brady's vehicle, were listed as injured in the wreck.

According to the release, Shawn Hemphill, 38, of Decatur, was eastbound on Arkansas Highway 102 in a 2005 Chevrolet and crossed the center line, striking a westbound 1998 Plymouth being driven by Shawna Brady head on. Hemphill was also listed as among the injured.

The injured were transported to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, according to the release.

The weather was clear and the road dry, according to the release. No seat belt information was made available.
